The Good Things Studio is a ‘pop-up’ project organised by the award winning and community-led Exchange Creative Community CIC, based in the Arndale Morecambe Bay on a temporary basis. The location offers lots of passing visitors with a good open frontage to display and exhibit work from studio users.
The 'pop-up' project is fundamental in The Exchange's mission to continue supporting and developing Morecambe's creative offer by providing access to affordable workspace, networking & collaboration prospects and increased education & training opportunities.

COMMUNITY - LED
As an organisation we are community-led and in most instances community-run too; providing an inclusive, flexible and collaborative approach to adding more ‘Good Things’ to what our area has to offer. We believe that art and creativity is good for both us and for our communities. For this to happen we need places as well as opportunities to both use and develop our existing skills, learn new ones and connect with others.
We have worked together on creating the community studio to make sure these opportunities exist and are available to as many people as possible. The studio pop-up makes having access to creative workspace and equipment more affordable than ever before!
The Studio also offers a range of equipment for members to use. We know getting the right kit can be expensive and impractical.
Some items are available to use freely in the space, and others will require an induction or to be hired from the Good Things Library.
This currently includes: easels, screen printing press, table top lino and etching press, sublimation printer and presses, sewing machines, photography lamps, ipad pro and projector.
We also are pleased to offer the ‘Swap and Share’ shelf offering members benefits to a range of art materials from paint brushes, various papers, paints, fabric, wool, and other bits and bobs that you might find useful, in exchange for the things you don’t.
